How to Fish Rocks Island — Tuna & Albatross

Professional Boss Lure into Tuna, dead Tuna into the bird, head into Volcano coordinates.

Rocks Island Guide

Rocks is Island 4, the red Radar marker west of Desert. The Tourist’s Pufferfish fin hand-in writes this stop. Lucky Bait Company sits above a small red beach shack. That shack is where navigation stops being a handheld chore. Patch 1.0.4 made the path toward the final island easier to see. Patch 1.0.10 fixed a soft-lock where dying to Tuna, spawning Albatross, and failing to respawn could brick a session. Boundary: FANART & PATCH 1.0.10.

Do not sell Tuna before the bird takes it. Do not sell the Albatross Head. Those two mistakes are the entire Rocks brick.

Professional Lure (~$50) is the everyday encyclopedia. Drip rolls in the same pool. Collector and Fishipedia both have work here; the bird is also Terrorizing bird.

Red shack: Boat Radar and Dual Motors

Walk to the small red shack on the sand below Lucky Bait Company. Buy the Boat Radar for $200. It bolts the map onto the dashboard so you are not holding the $10 Lighthouse gadget while steering. You should already own the handheld Radar; this is an upgrade, not a replacement unlock. Same counter sells Dual Motors for about $860 — I am speed. That engine does not make the boat fly. Dynamite under the hull on Forest still does. See Engines and Radar.

A sniper-tier gun belongs in this shop loop before you pick a fight with a diving bird. Pistols and SMGs struggle at that range.

Tuna into Albatross

Buy the Professional Boss Lure, catch Tuna, dodge the charge, dump a shotgun at close range. Drop the dead Tuna on the grass near shore. Wait. The Albatross (Terrorizing Bird) swoops for that body. Islanders hide in huts for a reason. Fight from a doorway — casino or boathouse — with a sniper: step out, shoot the red hit, step in. When it dies, loot the Albatross Head from the water before you sail. Hand the head to the shop NPC. The pink Volcano / military marker appears north of Rocks.

If you die during the Tuna step on an old build, restart Steam so 1.0.10 is live. Mixed lobbies with a host on 1.0.9 can still look haunted.
