How to Fish — System Requirements
Official Steam minimums, Deck notes, and why there is still no PlayStation SKU.
How to Fish is a Windows Steam game from Dazed Games, AppID 4001890. It launched on August 20, 2026. This page copies the store’s hardware line, then adds the practical notes players actually search: Steam Deck, controllers, disk space, and whether Mac or Linux will ever show a Buy button. For hitching after you already meet the spec, use FPS & Stutter. For boot failures, use Troubleshooting.
Official minimum (Steam)
- OS: Windows 10 64-bit or newer. The store repeats “requires a 64-bit processor and operating system.”
- CPU: Intel Core i5-5257U, AMD Ryzen 3 1200, or equivalent.
- Memory: 8 GB RAM.
- GPU: GeForce GTX 1050, AMD RX 460, or equivalent.
- Network: Broadband Internet connection — listed because online co-op is the intended mode even though solo works.
- Storage: 1 GB available space.
The Recommended block on the store is empty beyond the 64-bit reminder. Treat the minimum as the floor for the Lighthouse, not as a promise that Island 5 with eight players and dynamite will hold 60 FPS. Cap frames as described on the performance page.
There is no Mac listing and no Linux listing. Platforms on the API are Windows only.
Steam Deck and handhelds
Steam tags the build Playable, not Verified. That means it runs, with caveats you should expect from a small Unity physics game: TDP, a 30 FPS floor (Patch 1.0.5 lowered the locked minimum from 50 to 30), and community reports of GPU busy-work if you uncap frames. Docked 60 Hz is a bonus, not a studio guarantee.
There is no Nintendo, Xbox, or PlayStation store page in the launch notes. DualShock and DualSense support are Steam Input features on PC. Patch 1.0.8 fixed PlayStation controller glyphs. Invert look on X and Y arrived in Patch 1.0.5.
Controllers, audio, and saves
Full controller support is on the store. Custom volume controls are listed; Patch 1.0.8 finally hooked fire sizzle to the FX slider. Stereo sound is listed. “Save Anytime” matches the Save button plus the 1.0.6 rule that crash dumps no longer overwrite the slot — details on Save Files.
Family Sharing is listed. Achievements (28) track on the host and guests in co-op according to community reports; Easy / Hard from Patch 1.0.9 is not documented as an achievement lock.
Price, languages, and what you are installing
List price on Steam has been in the $7.99 / regional equivalent band after the launch-week 38 percent discount ended around August 27, 2026. Always trust the live store widget.
Languages with full interface, audio, and subtitles include English, French, Italian, German, Spanish (Spain and Latin America), Japanese, Korean, Polish, Brazilian Portuguese, Russian, Simplified and Traditional Chinese, Swedish, Turkish, and Ukrainian. This wiki publishes English, French, German, Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, and Japanese. It does not publish Simplified Chinese or Russian pages.
Mature content: cartoon violence toward fish, gambling with fish, no real money.

If a laptop meets the CPU name but uses Intel UHD as the only GPU, you are below the GTX 1050 line. That is a Performance problem, not a missing Radar.
